According to a previous report by CCTV News, the fuel loading of Unit 7 at Tianwan Nuclear Power Plant in Lianyungang, Jiangsu, has been successfully completed, and it has now entered the nuclear commissioning stage. On August 21st, Beijing Raymond-CBE Nuclear Equipment Technology Institute Co, Ltd. (referred to as “Raymond-CBE”) successfully completed the technical service for the first-ever bolt tensioning operation on the reactor pressure vessel closure of Tianwan Nuclear Power Unit 7, using its self-developed and manufactured first set of VVER integrated fully synchronous main bolt tensioning machine. This marks the 72nd open/close operation of the reactor pressure vessel carried out in the nuclear island using a fully synchronous main bolt tensioning machine developed and manufactured by Raymond-CBE, fully showcasing the company's technical strength and engineering service capabilities in the nuclear power field.

Loading fuel is a critical milestone in the construction of a nuclear power plant. The Tianwan Nuclear Power Unit 7 is the first VVER1200 third-generation nuclear power plant to be built in the country. Once the fuel has been loaded, closing the reactor pressure vessel is the next crucial step before commencing nuclear commissioning. The Raymond-CBE 's first VVER complete synchronous main bolt tensioning machine is a large, on-site, fully automated heavy-duty robot integrating mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and optical systems. This equipment features synchronous operation, high precision, and remote control capabilities, ensuring the safety, efficiency, and reliability of the main bolt loading/unloading and tensioning operations. During this on-site operation, the Raymond-CBE engineering service team worked closely with the Taichung Power Plant's on-site schedule, providing reliable equipment and professional on-site engineering services. This resulted in the high-quality, high-standard completion of all assigned tasks, earning the team's full recognition and providing a solid foundation for the orderly progression of subsequent milestones in the plant's construction.
