1   Product Overview

The intelligent transfer device for small cell targets is a key equipment in the upgrading project of the Belling reactor in Algeria (referred to as Project B1/B2). This device is mainly used for the batch and continuous loading and unloading operations of radioactive isotopes such as 99Mo in the MHWRR, as well as the automatic positioning, remote operation of the isotope grabber, and the loading and unloading of the target pieces under reactor operation and shutdown conditions. 

The target piece intelligent transfer device and the gripper are located in the small storage room. The device has two grippers, namely the passive gripper and the compressed air gripper. The grippers can move up and down as well as horizontally. When the gripper reaches the position to pick up the sample tank, it can lift the sample tank out of the irradiation channel, and then use the movement of the target piece intelligent transfer device to send the irradiation sample tank to the designated position.

2  Product Features

(1) Precise Positioning: The main drive of the device is an independently developed zero-error sprocket transmission mechanism, which enables precise positioning of the fixture and the hole channel; 

(2) Passive-specific gripper: The device is equipped with its own independently developed passive-specific gripper. The target parts can be picked up and placed without the need for additional external driving force, thereby avoiding the risk of the target parts falling accidentally and enhancing the inherent safety characteristics of the equipment. 

(3) Dual-CPU redundancy: The control system of the device employs a dual-CPU redundant programmable logic controller to prevent unexpected equipment shutdown or erroneous operation during the equipment's operation due to system failures. 

(4) Teaching Programming: The device adopts a programmed control logic based on the prescribed movement path for teaching programming. It has the function of intelligent obstacle avoidance, enhancing the inherent safety characteristics of the equipment and reducing the installation accuracy requirements. 

  Technical Parameters

(1) Swing speed of the main swing arm assembly: 15°/min to 150°/min (adjustable); 

(2) Linear walking assembly walking speed: 1.5m/min to 15m/min (adjustable); 

(3) Vertical lifting speed of the hook: 1.5m/min to 15m/min (adjustable); 

(4) Lifting height of the hook: 11 meters; 

(5)  Opening and closing time of the compressed air grabber: ≤ 6 seconds; 

(6)  Maximum lifting capacity of the gravity hook: 0 - 30 kilograms.
