On June 6, the second Huairou Science City Sports & Cultural Season, themed "Science SMILE², Love This Young," kicked off at the SMILE² Arena. At the "Universal Cup" table tennis tournament held during the season, Raymond-CBE actively organized a team to compete alongside 20 representative teams and over a hundred scientific research and tech innovation elites from the park. After multiple intense rounds of competition, Wang Shangfei from Raymond-CBE’s R&D and Design Center demonstrated steady psychological quality and superb table tennis skills, breaking through tough matchups to ultimately win third place in the Huairou District table tennis competition!

Serving, smashing, defending—every move was precise and skillful, with a well-paced rhythm of attack and defense. It is reported that as one of the signature events of Huairou Science City’s regional party-building brand activities, this Sports & Cultural Season is co-hosted by the Huairou Science City General Trade Union and the Zhongguancun Huairou Park Trade Union. The season focuses on competitive experiences, science communication, and social interaction. Featuring the English initials of space science, matter science, information and intelligence science, life science, earth system science, and energy—"SMILE²"—as its core symbol, the season is structured around five major activity clusters: "Smile Opening Ceremony, Smile Sports Gala, Smile Carnival, Smile Joy Gathering, and Smile Closing Ceremony." Running from June through October, the season will offer "monthly themes and weekly activities," comprehensively enhancing both the "scientific research atmosphere" and the "local vibrancy" of the Science City.
