Raymond-CBE Showcases High-End Smart Equipment at 2026 Nuclear Industry Exhibition Tackling Critical Bottlenecks in the Nuclear Industry

Under the theme "Innovation-Led Cooperation Empowering Sustainable Development of the Nuclear Industry," the 18th China International Nuclear Industry Exhibition was successfully held from April 22 to 25, 2026, at the Beijing Exhibition Center. As one of the largest and most influential professional events in the global nuclear industry, this year's exhibition attracted over 300 leading companies and organizations from more than 20 countries, with over 40,000 professional visitors. The event showcased the latest technological achievements and cutting-edge trends in the nuclear sector.

At the exhibition, Raymond-CBE made a strong impression with a range of independently developed high-end smart equipment, including a model of the RPV Integral Full-Synchronous Stud Tensioning Robot, Advanced Nuclear Fuel Assembly Transfer System, SG Blinding Plate Automatic Operation Robot, Multi-Functional Repair Robot for Pressurizer Surge Line Welds, In-Vessel Fuel Assembly Loading Guidance Robot and the SmartArc-400 All-Position Intelligent Welding System. With its robotics matrix covering key areas such as nuclear power construction and maintenance, refueling, waste & decommissioning, and intelligent welding, Raymond-CBE became a technological focal point of the exhibition, demonstrating how domestically developed equipment can resolve critical bottlenecks in the nuclear industry.

On Raymond-CBE's 36-square-meter booth, a well-arranged display of smart equipment designed for critical and high-risk operations in nuclear power plants drew frequent visits from attendees, vividly showcasing the strength of "Intelligent Manufacturing in China" in the deep operation and maintenance of the nuclear industry. The centerpiece of the booth —the RPV Integral Full-Synchronous Stud Tensioning Robot— is a landmark domestically developed piece of equipment that has successfully broken foreign monopolies and addressed a critical bottleneck. This equipment is used for opening and closing reactor pressure vessels and is compatible with multiple mainstream reactor types, including Hualong One, M310, AP1000/1400, and VVER1200, demonstrating strong versatility and engineering value. The SG Blinding Plate Automatic Operation Robot, meanwhile, enables remote automatic installation and removal of primary-side plugs in steam generators under radioactive environments. The entire plug handling process is automated, requiring no personnel entry into the steam generator, effectively reducing radiation exposure.

In the field of refueling technology, Raymond-CBE showcased two key pieces of equipment. Advanced Nuclear Fuel Assembly Transfer System is specifically designed for refueling operations in pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants, enabling efficient and safe transfer of fuel assemblies between the KX side and RX side buildings. Its innovative structure effectively solves the technical challenges of low efficiency in loading fuel assemblies into and removing them from carriers, holding significant importance for improving nuclear power plant refueling efficiency. The In-Vessel Fuel Assembly Loading Guidance Robot provides high-precision guidance during the loading of fuel assemblies into the reactor core, replacing manual proximity with automated operation and effectively reducing personnel radiation exposure risks.

Additionally, the SmartArc-400 All-Position Intelligent Welding System is a welding robot applicable to narrow-gap and ultra-narrow-gap full-position welding of thick-walled pipes, plates, tanks, containers, sheet metal, and seams in ultra-low and ultra-narrow space environments, maintaining welding quality stability under complex postures. The Multi-Functional Repair Robot for Pressurizer Surge Line Welds focuses on internal pipe welding operations, capable of real-time back-of-weld monitoring and back-side gas shielding during the root pass, and automatically completing internal weld grinding, high-precision real-time contour measurement, and cleaning after welding.

In addition to physical exhibits, Raymond-CBE also prepared demonstration videos for 26 core products, covering three major areas — refueling technology, nuclear power construction and maintenance technology, and waste & decommissioning technology — which were played on a loop at the booth, presenting the company's system-level solution capabilities. During the exhibition, the Raymond-CBE booth welcomed several high-caliber professional visitors. Particularly noteworthy was the dedicated visit from the world's leading nuclear power operator—EDF—which showed strong interest in the multiple high-end intelligent equipment on display by Raymond-CBE. In-depth discussions were held regarding the technical compatibility of the bolt tensioning robot and the engineering application scenarios of the welding system, with EDF giving high praise to the localization breakthroughs and technological maturity of the related products.

Meanwhile, China Zhongyuan Engineering Corporation, Dongfang Electric Corporation, and other domestic and international nuclear industry groups, engineering companies, and industry experts also visited and engaged in discussions. After in-depth conversations, multiple organizations expressed clear intentions for cooperation. The booth attracted a continuous stream of visitors, and several nuclear power plant maintenance experts stopped for detailed inquiries in front of the bolt tensioning robot model and other products, engaging in technical discussions about the remote operation capabilities of the SG Plug Automatic Operating Robot, creating a lively atmosphere of on-site interaction.

This Nuclear Industry Exhibition served not only as a window for showcasing technological achievements, but also as a high-end platform connecting global nuclear industry expertise and deepening international collaboration. On the afternoon of April 22, Raymond-CBE successfully held the "CBE Advanced Nuclear Power Operation and Maintenance Technology Promotion Conference" in the release area of Hall 1. At the conference, Zhou Yi, Deputy General Manager of Raymond-CBE, systematically presented the company's latest achievements in nuclear power refueling technology, nuclear power construction and maintenance technology, and waste & decommissioning technology — addressing key pain points throughout the nuclear power plant lifecycle — through a combination of video demonstrations, technical explanations, and case studies. The conference attracted a full house, and the interactive session was highly engaged. Several attendees noted that Raymond-CBE's technical solutions accurately addressed practical challenges in nuclear power plant operation and maintenance, and expressed anticipation for substantial cooperation in the future. The successful hosting of this conference further enhanced Raymond-CBE's brand influence within the industry and injected new momentum into the large-scale application and "going global" strategy of domestically developed smart nuclear power equipment.
