Jiangsu Nuclear Power's Chairman Zhang Yi Visits Raymond CEB for Talks on Refueling and Maintenance Technology CooperationRecently, Zhang Yi, Director of the CNNC Market Development Department and Chairman of the Board and Party Secretary of Jiangsu Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. led a delegation to Beijing Raymond CEB. The two parties held in-depth discussions on future cooperation in areas such as refueling and maintenance operations. Raymond CBE's Chairman and Chief Technology Officer, Zhou Wen, along with relevant business leaders, accompanied the visit and participated in the talks.
Zhou Wen extended a warm welcome to Zhang Yi and his delegation, accompanying them on a tour of the assembly and commissioning workshop and the welding technology laboratory at Raymond CBE's R&D base. The visit focused on the production and assembly line of the fully synchronized, integrated stud tensioner for the VVER1200 reactor pressure vessel, independently developed for Units 7 and 8 of the Tianwan Nuclear Power Plant. The delegation then attended the equipment's shipment ceremony. Zhang Yi fully recognized Raymond CBE's breakthroughs in the localization of high-end nuclear power equipment and highly commended the technical advantages of the equipment in terms of automation, operational efficiency, and safety. During the subsequent symposium, Zhao Zhanguo, Director of Raymond CBE's R&D and Design Center, presented the company's independently developed advanced refueling systems and other equipment, and the two sides exchanged views on potential future collaboration. Zhou Wen noted that Raymond CBE as a national high-tech enterprise addressing critical challenges in nuclear safety operations and maintenance, possesses systematic independent innovation capabilities in the development of refueling and maintenance equipment, intelligent construction, and engineering implementation. The company has accumulated extensive expertise in nuclear engineering solutions. He expressed hope that the two parties would use this meeting as an opportunity to deepen cooperation in the localization and intelligent application of refueling and maintenance equipment, jointly advancing the autonomy and control of key nuclear power equipment. Zhang Yi remarked that Jiangsu Nuclear Power, as the largest nuclear power base under CNNC in terms of total installed capacity in operation and under construction globally, boasts a unique large-scale platform for refueling and maintenance operations and industrial application scenarios. He emphasized that Jiangsu Nuclear Power and Raymond CEB have complementary strengths and aligned goals. He expressed hope for the establishment of a closer cooperation mechanism to jointly carry out innovative R&D in refueling and maintenance, thereby enhancing both the safety and economic performance of nuclear energy.
