On March 2, 2016, Han Nasan, the general manager of China Nuclear Industry Second and Third Construction Company, and Wang Zhanyun, the chief engineer of the nuclear island company, visited the CBE Beijing R&D Center for inspection and guidance. The two sides conducted technical exchanges and discussions on future cooperation in the nuclear power field. 

Mr. Zhou Wen, the chairman of CBE Group, personally received and presided over the meeting. He also introduced the group's development in the nuclear power field, its technical capabilities, and its research and manufacturing strength. The meeting reviewed the progress of the first project of the strategic cooperation framework agreement between the two parties, namely "CNC on-site beveling and inner chamber processing of the main pipeline of CAP1400". General Manager Han and Engineer Wang were satisfied with the significant advancement in the research and development progress. 

After the meeting, Mr. Zhou Wen, the chairman of CBE, accompanied the two leaders to inspect the CBE R&D supporting processing workshop, the welding technology laboratory, and the experimental site for the stretching machine of the main bolts of the nuclear reactor pressure vessel. 

In the welding technology laboratory, Mr. Wang, the chief engineer, carefully observed the welding process of the CBE new-generation "Main Pipeline Narrow Gap Welding Robot System SmartArc 400". He highly praised the performance of this system and provided suggestions for improvement based on on-site experience. 

At the reactor pressure vessel main bolt stretching machine experimental site, the leaders observed the on-site operation demonstration of the main bolt automatic insertion robot. Mr. Wang carefully examined the threading and selection actions of the bolts, read the axial force, torque and displacement parameters of the entire process. He highly praised the stability of the robot. 

The leaders also visited the 860-ton ultra-high pressure hydraulic unit system designed for the Hualong One reactor. 

Lin Song, the director of strategic development of CBE Group, Zhao Guozheng, the manager of the R&D department, Wang Ping and Jin Feng, the directors of the welding branch company, participated in the discussion and the visit.
