The factory acceptance test meeting for the automatic gun-changing welding machine for spent fuel of the Huaneng Shidao'wan High-Temperature Gas-Cooled ReactorOn March 23, 2018, Wang Wei, Li Honglei, and Lin Yuming, project managers from the Purchasing Department of Huaneng Shandong Shidao'wan Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. (referred to as "the Owner"), along with researchers Wang Jinhua, Wu Bin, and Li Yue from the Institute of Nuclear Energy and New Energy Technology of Tsinghua University (referred to as "Tsinghua Nuclear Research Institute"), a total of six people, visited Beijing Leiming Cyber Electromechanical Technology Co., Ltd. (referred to as "CBE") to witness the factory acceptance test of the "Automatic Gun Switching Welding Robot for the Spent Fuel Storage System of the High-Temperature Gas-Cooled Reactor Nuclear Power Plant Demonstration Project".

CBE reported on the progress of the project and the on-site test situation. Based on the factory test outline for the automatic gun-switching welding robot of the spent fuel storage system, they conducted tests on the test prerequisites, safety checks, individual function tests, DCS remote control tests, status signal output function tests, and welding reliability tests, etc. The three test pieces that were continuously welded on-site underwent on-site sectioning and penetrant testing, and fully met the requirements for weld continuity and weld penetration depth. ![]()

The experts and project managers from Tsinghua Nuclear Research Institute all agreed that the automatic gun-changing welding robot independently developed by CBE for spent fuel storage systems fully met the design and usage requirements. The factory acceptance test of the automatic gun-changing welding machine was successfully completed. The successful development of this equipment has further contributed to China's fourth-generation nuclear power technology. |
