The project of removing the protrusions from the weld seams of the HDPE pipes in the SWS system of Units 1 and 2 of Haoyang Nuclear Power Plant has been successfully inspected and accepted. It is a giThe "Service for Removing Weld Seam Bulges of HDPE Pipes in the SWS System of Units 1 and 2 of Haoyang Nuclear Power Plant" project, jointly undertaken by Beijing Leiming Cyber Electromechanical Technology Co., Ltd. and the Haoyang Branch of Guo Nuclear Engineering Co., Ltd., was successfully completed and accepted on September 26, 2017. Due to the fact that the welding seam removal operation was carried out inside a pipe with an inner diameter of Φ570 mm, our company developed and manufactured four specialized equipment, including semi-automatic cutting robots and manual cutting machines, based on different working conditions such as straight pipe sections and elbow pipe sections. At the same time, four processing techniques were developed to ensure the smooth implementation of the project. During the construction process, the service personnel overcame the narrow space and humid, hot working environment inside the pipe, and strictly implemented the "construction plan", "quality plan" and "progress plan" requirements. They successfully completed the welding seam removal work for 547 welds on 4 pipelines of Units 1 and 2 as per the plan, and the acceptance rate was 100%.
