The China Institute of Atomic Energy visited the CBE Beijing R&D base for a survey.On May 13, 2017, a delegation consisting of Yang Hongyi, the director of the Reactor Engineering Department of China Atomic Energy Science Research Institute, Wang Mingzheng, the deputy director of the Design Institute, Sun Zhiyong, the director of the Engineering Training Office of the Reactor Engineering Department, Song Qing, the director of the Project Office of the Reactor Engineering Department, Yang Yanfang, the section chief of the Asset Management Department of the Institute, and Mr. Mingliang, the chief executive of the Reactor Engineering Department, visited the Beijing R&D base of CBE Group to conduct a comprehensive investigation and assessment of the R&D capabilities, R&D projects, and quality management of CBE Group, as part of the equipment R&D and manufacturing cooperation for the national 13th Five-Year Plan major project "Demonstration Fast Reactor". Mr. Zhou Wen, the Chief Technology Officer of CBE Group, presided over the meeting. During the meeting, a technical engineer introduced the R&D history and typical cases of CBE Group's nuclear power equipment. The leaders of China Atomic Energy Science Research Institute highly praised CBE's R&D technology and R&D management capabilities. While thoroughly understanding CBE's technical capabilities, they also conducted in-depth discussions with the CBE management on the equipment R&D and manufacturing cooperation field and cooperation methods for the fast reactor. After the meeting, Mr. Zhou Wen accompanied the leaders of China Atomic Energy Science Research Institute to visit the R&D supporting processing workshop, welding technology laboratory, and main bolt tensioning machine experimental site of CBE Research Institute. Through this exchange, both companies deepened their mutual understanding and laid a foundation for further in-depth cooperation. Zhang Dan, the Operations Director of CBE Group, and Lin Song, the Strategic Development Director, participated in the cooperation discussion.
